At Empower Skilled Trades Foundation (ESTF), Michael Alasa serves as a Member of the Human Resources & Remuneration Committee, where he contributes to shaping people‑centered policies, talent development frameworks, and equitable remuneration systems that support the Foundation’s growth and sustainability. In this role, he provides strategic insight into workforce planning, leadership development, and HR governance, helping strengthen ESTF’s Africa–Canada skilled trades ecosystem through effective human capital management.

Michael is a Workforce Transformation Executive, Human Capital Strategist, and Board Director with over 20 years of leadership experience driving organizational effectiveness, workforce transformation, and talent management across Africa and international markets. He brings deep expertise in aligning people strategies with institutional goals, ensuring that organizations build resilient, high‑performing teams that deliver measurable impact.

As the Founder and Group Managing Director of Recruten Africa Group, a Pan‑African workforce transformation and talent intelligence enterprise, Michael has led large‑scale workforce ecosystems and advised boards and executive teams across multiple industries. His work has focused on enhancing performance, strengthening organizational culture, and driving sustainable growth through innovative human capital solutions.

A committed governance leader, Michael also serves on various boards and initiatives that promote inclusive talent development and youth empowerment across Africa. Guided by a passion for workforce inclusion and sustainable development, he continues to support ESTF’s mission by advancing strategies that equip individuals with the skills, opportunities, and support needed to succeed in the global skilled trades economy.
