Financial Expert & Finance and Audit Committee Lead

Lawrence Ansah Addo

Lawrence Ansah-Addo is an accomplished operations and finance leader with nearly a decade of international experience across nonprofit, multilateral, and private-sector environments. He serves on the Board of Trustees as the Financial Expert and leads the Finance & Audit Committee at the Empower Skilled Trades Foundation, providing strategic oversight on financial governance, risk management, and accountability.

Currently, Lawrence is Operations Manager at 2Point Logistics Corp in Canada, where he leads enterprise-wide operations strategy, designs governance frameworks, and implements data-driven performance systems that enhance efficiency and organizational growth.

He has extensive experience in financial management and donor-funded project oversight through his work with the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS) in Copenhagen. There, he managed financial planning and reporting across multi-country portfolios, delivering compliant reports to major development partners including USAID, the European Union, the World Bank, and UN agencies. He also strengthened financial controls, led risk assessments, and contributed to the closure of over 1,000 global projects, ensuring transparency and effective utilization of funds.

Lawrence’s experience also spans the private and nonprofit sectors, including roles with the Saskatchewan Roughriders Football Club and as Finance Director for youth-focused 1 billion Africa.

He holds an MPhil in Finance and a BSc in Accounting and is certified in PRINCE2 and cybersecurity. His leadership supports strong financial stewardship and sustainable impact across the Foundation.
