Robert Tumwebaze
Robert Tumwebaze is a strategic and results-driven leader based in Kigali, Rwanda, with over 12 years of experience advancing national workforce development, technical and vocational education, and youth empowerment initiatives. He currently serves as Director of Career Development & Guidance at Rwanda Polytechnic – College of Gishari, where he oversees program operations aligned with national workforce priorities, manages volunteer deployment for over 120 staff and student volunteers, and directs budgets exceeding $3 million.
Robert’s professional journey includes impactful roles at the Workforce Development Authority (WDA), where he managed major donor-funded programs from the World Bank, GIZ, KOICA, KfW, and the Mastercard Foundation. His expertise spans public-private partnerships, fundraising, stakeholder engagement, policy implementation, and monitoring and evaluation. He holds an MBA in Project Management from Mount Kenya University and a BBA in Finance from the National University of Rwanda, and has earned certifications from institutions including Maastricht University, GIZ, and USAID.
Robert is passionate about cross-sector collaboration and sustainable impact, making him a committed contributor to ESTF’s strategic partnership goals.
