Teshome Feissa is a distinguished TVET leader, researcher, and policy advisor with extensive experience strengthening technical and vocational education systems across Ethiopia. He currently serves as the Dean and Rector of Tafari Makonnen Polytechnic College in Addis Ababa, where he leads institutional strategy, academic quality, and workforce‑aligned program development. His previous leadership roles include serving as Vice Dean for Capacity Building at the Productivity Improvement Center of Excellence and Dean of Entoto Polytechnic College, where he oversaw institutional transformation, curriculum modernization, and large‑scale trainee development initiatives.

As a member of the Program Quality & Curriculum Alignment Committee at the Empower Skilled Trades Foundation (ESTF), Teshome contributes deep expertise in aligning vocational programs with industry standards, advancing competency‑based training, and strengthening quality assurance systems across Africa–Canada skilled trades pathways.

Teshome is a strong advocate for transitioning from traditional Outcome‑Based Education (OBE) to robust Work‑Based Learning (WBL) models that reflect real‑world industry needs. His professional focus includes TVET policy development, curriculum implementation, institutional quality management through ISO 21001:2025, and the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) into vocational training and WBL ecosystems. He also champions sustainable institutional development through greening initiatives and the establishment of knowledge‑management systems that preserve institutional memory and enhance long‑term performance.

Teshome holds advanced degrees in TVET Leadership and Management, Data Science, and Information Science, bringing a rare blend of educational leadership, data‑driven decision‑making, and innovation to the Foundation’s mission of expanding equitable, globally relevant skilled trades training.
