Gabriel S. Konayuma serves as a valued member of the Program Quality & Curriculum Alignment Committee at the Empower Skilled Trades Foundation (ESTF), where he contributes his expertise to advancing high-quality, globally relevant training systems that align with workforce needs.

Gabriel is a distinguished technical and vocational education expert with extensive experience in driving entrepreneurship strategies, curriculum relevance, and educational quality assurance. He currently serves as the Principal Technical Education, Vocational and Entrepreneurship Training (TEVET) Officer responsible for entrepreneurship at the Ministry of Technology and Science in Lusaka, Zambia.

In his broader global engagement, Gabriel contributes to the advancement of vocational education as the Country Coordinator for the UNESCO-UNEVOC Network and the Country Representative for e/Merge Africa, strengthening international collaboration in skills development and innovation.

Through his work with ESTF, Gabriel supports curriculum alignment and program quality initiatives that ensure training systems remain responsive, inclusive, and future-focused. His career is marked by a strong commitment to workforce development, national skills strategies, and digital transformation in education.

His areas of expertise include the research and implementation of Open, Distance, and Flexible Learning (ODFL) frameworks, institutional quality standards, and technology-enabled learning systems.

Gabriel holds a Bachelor of Arts in Education from the University of Zambia (UNZA), a Master of Education from the University of Cape Town (UCT), an MBA from Mancosa, and a Certificate in MICE from UNISA.
