Eric Ohene Ankomah is a Civil Engineering graduate from Cape Coast Technical University, skilled trades advocate, entrepreneur and founder of Trades Afrique, a platform dedicated to promoting technical and vocational education, skilled trades careers, and workforce development across Africa.

With hands-on experience in construction, masonry, plumbing systems, wastewater management, and environmental sustainability, combines technical knowledge with a passion for empowering the next generation of skilled professionals. His practical training spans construction operations, water infrastructure, vocational skills development, and project implementation, giving him a unique perspective on the importance of trades education in economic growth and community development.

As the founder of Trades Afrique, Eric leads initiatives that use storytelling, digital media, industry engagement, and advocacy to elevate the image of skilled trades and connect young people to training, certification, mentorship, and employment opportunities. He believes effective communication and strong branding are essential tools for changing perceptions and increasing participation in technical and vocational careers.

His interests include TVET development, skilled trades promotion, workforce readiness, entrepreneurship, plumbing and gas engineering, water systems, and youth empowerment. Through his work, Eric is committed to strengthening awareness, visibility, and opportunities within the skilled trades sector while contributing to sustainable social and economic development.
