Benson Mwangi
Benson Mwangi is a youth engagement and workforce development specialist with more than a decade of experience designing and implementing programs that equip young people with market‑relevant skills, entrepreneurship pathways, and access to economic opportunity. As Country Director for Kenya at the Empower Skilled Trades Foundation (ESTF), he leads national strategy, government and industry partnerships, and the expansion of Red Seal–aligned skilled trades training and ethical workforce mobility initiatives across Kenya.
Benson is the CEO and Founder of Artcom Enterprise, where he has championed youth empowerment, sustainable agribusiness, climate‑smart innovation, and MSME development. His initiatives include the Fanikisha Ndoto Youth Initiative, the development of MACABOARDS—eco‑friendly building materials made from agricultural waste and community‑based incubation programs that strengthen grassroots economies.
He has served as a consultant and master trainer on major World Bank–funded initiatives, including the National Youth Opportunities Towards Advancement (NYOTA) Project and the Kenya Industry and Entrepreneurship Project (KIEP), contributing to large‑scale youth skilling, innovation, and enterprise development. His work with the Agriculture Sector Development Support Program (ASDSP) mobilized and trained over 2,000 farmers and advanced youth engagement strategies across Nyeri County.
A Mandela Washington Fellow, YALI East Africa Fellow, and YouthConnekt Africa Advisory Council Member, Benson is recognized for shaping youth‑centered policies and programs across the continent. His expertise spans RPL systems, TVET strengthening, ESG advisory, program management, and multi‑stakeholder collaboration.
