Brent Osmond is a Red Seal and Blue Seal–certified Heavy Equipment Technician, technical trainer, and industry leader with more than 20 years of experience across Canada’s commercial transportation and heavy equipment sectors. As a Board Trustee with the Empower Skilled Trades Foundation (ESTF), Brent helps strengthen the Foundation’s ability to align training, workforce development, and employer‑readiness initiatives with real‑world industry needs, emerging technologies, and the evolving demands of heavy mechanical systems.

Brent is the Owner and President of Dynamic Diesel Solutions Ltd., where he supports fleets, dealerships, and service organizations through advanced diagnostics, technician development, and technology‑driven training solutions. His expertise spans diesel engines, emissions and aftertreatment systems, high‑pressure common rail fuel systems, and complex diagnostic workflows, with specialized proficiency in Jaltest Cojali diagnostic platforms.

A dedicated educator, Brent previously served as a full‑time Heavy Equipment Technician Instructor at the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology (NAIT), where he contributed to apprenticeship training and curriculum delivery. He continues to teach in NAIT’s continuing education programs, offering instruction in hydrogen vehicle technology, advanced electrical troubleshooting, diesel emissions systems, and job‑readiness for aspiring technicians.

Brent’s career reflects a deep commitment to strengthening Canada’s skilled trades workforce.
